Just one conceptual question. In case of 1b, since there is a triple bond between C2-C3 and C4-C5, there are two pi bonds (Pz and Py.. right?) that form conjugation. Then, in terms of stability of the molecule, would this conjugation be as influential as four double bonds involving 8 carbons? Hopefully it makes sense.
